Errata, Corrections and Retractions Policy
Errata, Corrections and Retractions Policy
The editorial and published articles (research, review, reflection, popular knowledge and technology), in the Multidisciplinary Journal Perspectivas Investigativas, will be kept current, accurate and unalterable as far as possible. However, exceptional events may occur where the correction, retraction or elimination of a manuscript already published may be necessary. This occurrence will be approached by the journal's editorial team with prudence in order to preserve the ethics of the entities involved, for this purpose, it will resort to what is described in the norms recommended by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
In these cases, the regime of rules and control mechanisms of scientific communication has several main procedures for rectification according to the type, severity and consequences of the inaccuracy detected. These may be in the form of a notice of erratum or correction, a retraction and, on rare occasions, the deletion of the article. The purpose of this mechanism is that the changes are transparent and the integrity of the academic record is always guaranteed.
Errata
An erratum notice will be published when it is necessary to correct an error or omission made by the journal after publication that may affect the publication record or the reputation of the authorship or the journal, but where the scholarly integrity of the article remains intact.
All errors will be accompanied by a separate notice. The notice should provide clear details of the error and the changes that have been made to the paper.
In these circumstances:
- The article shall be corrected.
- An endnote will be added to the article with reference to the erratum notice.
- A separate erratum or correction notice will be published linked to the corrected version.
- The erratum or correction document will be paginated and with DOI.
